Oliver the Ornament is a seven-book series that tells the story of one family’s collection of ornaments, while teaching children the message of kindness. The first five books are currently available. The sixth book in the series will be released later this year and the seventh and final book will be released in 2024.

The first book tells the story of Oliver, the very first ornament the Nelson family added to their Christmas tree.

Unfortunately, Oliver becomes damaged and forgotten. As the other ornaments search for Oliver, they learn lessons of kindness, determination, friendship, and forgiveness.

Through the magic of Christmas, the ornaments come to life in every book to tell heartwarming stories about all the ornaments while shining a light on the values of kindness, encouragement, faith, inclusiveness, and special holiday memories.

These Books Prove That We Can Accomplish Anything

For over 75 years, every American First Lady, beginning with Bess Truman, has gone to Children’s National Hospital in Washington D.C. to read a Christmas story to the patients at the hospital. This wonderful tradition continues to this day.

In 2018, the author of Oliver the Ornament was contacted by the office of then First Lady, Melania Trump, telling him  that she had selected his first book Oliver the Ornament to be read at this historic event..

It was a hit! In fact, Mrs. Trump liked the book so much that in 2019 she selected the second book in the series, Oliver the Ornament Meets Belle. 

And in 2020, she selected the third installment, Oliver the Ornament Meets Marley & Joan and Abbey.
